Editorial Policy
Our goal is to help readers make a better software decision, not to maximize the number of vendor clicks.
Source hierarchy
- Official vendor sources first: pricing pages, product documentation, terms and support materials.
- Clear distinction between fact and estimate: quote-based or unit-tier pricing is labeled as such.
- Portfolio context: a product can be a strong fit for one operator and a poor fit for another.
- Material changes are updated: pricing, program availability and major product-policy changes are reflected when verified.
Affiliate relationships do not control coverage
We can include or recommend a vendor even when we do not have an affiliate relationship with that vendor. Likewise, having an affiliate relationship does not guarantee a favorable recommendation.
Corrections and updates
Software pricing and policies change quickly. Each buying guide should be treated as a dated research snapshot. When we verify a material change, we update the relevant page and its review date. Readers can report a possible error through the contact page.
Commercial content and paid promotion
We may use paid advertising to promote our own substantive editorial pages. Paid promotion does not convert an editorial ranking into sponsored placement. Affiliate links remain disclosed at or near the relevant call to action.
How a buying guide is built
- Identify the reader decision: portfolio size, pricing question or product comparison.
- Verify current plan and fee information from vendor-published sources.
- Separate fixed public prices from quote-dependent or usage-dependent costs.
- Compare the workflow the product is designed to replace—not only the subscription.
- Link to the official sources used so readers can re-check current terms.
What can change a recommendation
A recommendation can change when a vendor changes pricing, unit limits, payment economics, required contracts, core features or the audience a plan is designed for. Affiliate commission changes by themselves do not change our editorial conclusion.
Update cadence
High-intent pricing and comparison pages are reviewed when we verify a material vendor change and periodically as the site grows. Every commercial guide carries a dated review note; older dates are a signal to verify the vendor source before purchasing.
Corrections standard
If an official source conflicts with a number on this site, the official source controls. We correct material errors and update the page review date. Readers and vendors can submit correction evidence through the contact page.
